We don't have a separate registered legal entity name to share — throughout this policy, “we”, “us”, and “Australia's Hot Springs” refer to the team operating this website.

  • Newsletter signup: if you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address as a newsletterSubscriber record in our content management system (Sanity).
  • Hot spring submissions:if you submit a hot spring listing, we collect the information provided in the submission form — including your name, email address, and the location details (such as address and coordinates) of the hot spring you are submitting.
  • Aggregate analytics: we use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (e.g. page views and general traffic patterns). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

How we use it

  • To operate and improve the directory itself.
  • To review, follow up on, and (where appropriate) publish hot spring submissions.
  • To send newsletter updates to subscribers, until they unsubscribe.
  • To understand overall site usage and improve the experience for visitors.

  • Sanity— stores our listing content, newsletter subscriber records, and submission data.
  • Resend— delivers transactional emails, such as notifications when a new hot spring is submitted.

  • Google Maps— powers the embedded maps and “navigate” links shown on listing pages.

Data retention and your rights

We keep newsletter subscriber and submission records for as long as needed to operate the directory and respond to submissions. If you would like to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, please contact us using the details below.

Every newsletter email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link — clicking it immediately stops future newsletter emails to that address.
